What is a fen?  What most characterises the Lincolnshire fens to you?  A bird such as Nick Tribes' skilfully photographed sedge warbler (right)?  A wind blown reedbed?  A big sky over an open landscape (look at my less skilfully photgraphed landscapes)?

 

The Photographs in these Galleries are just the begining in an attempt to illustrate and define what best summarises and characterises these complex and important fenland nature reserves and the wider Lincolnshire fenland landscape.
